The design and execution of this project was a solution to a series of requests from the Jacksonville Jaguars to enhance their gameday experience, as well as a solution to providing new investment and revenue opportunities for the Jaguars and the City.
I was involved in the initial design concepts and met with the client to review and modify. During documentation I was the primary structural coordinator and the seating bowl designer on the amphitheater.
The seating bowl was to be as intimate as possible, all while maintaining their 6000 capacity goal. This was achieved by cantilevering the upper seating bowl levels over the lower bowl, pushing as many seats as close to the stage as possible.
During documentation the seating bowl structure was changed from steel to concrete.
During construction I was in charge of site visits as well as all submittals and RFIs until project completion.
